Impressions, inspired by the art movement Impressionism, was an influence in my early art-making. These artists cared more about how they felt about the light and atmosphere than on portraying realism. This series is generally bright in color using loosely formed 'brushstrokes', in the form of painted, ripped vellum strips adhered to the surface. Seen from a distance the 'eye' sees blended colors rather than separate areas of color. These mixed media works are on board.
